NW-SCC Seeking Industry Partners for FAME Program

A new program is coming to the Shoals and Northwest Shoals Community College is seeking partnerships with business and industry. The Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education , or better known as FAME, is a collaborative group of manufacturers and other employers of technical workers whose purpose is to implement dual-track, work/study education that will create a pipeline of the most highly skilled new workers in the world.

FAME's Advanced Manufacturing Technician Program (AMT) is an apprenticeship program that includes a two-year technical Associate degree that combines a manufacturing technology curriculum with paid working experience. FAME students earn a wage while gaining valuable knowledge and experience with the area's industry leaders.
